Multivision

Video installation for the Museo Diocesano in Milan

The communication of the values the Museo Diocesano stands for begins right at the entrance: it was by thinking about the visitor’s first steps across the threshold that the form and essence of the Multivision took shape.

The simultaneous, multiple display of video clips, images and evocative three-dimensional reconstructions, together with concise yet comprehensive headlines summing up the content, prepares the public for their visit to the Museum: three silent films, projected in sync, recount through images and brief written captions the history and character of the Ambrosian Diocese and of the Museo Diocesano.

The Multivision runs in a continuous loop, guiding attention along an innovative virtual journey through the key figures, themes, events and places.

The Multivision took shape by turning the entire span of the end wall of the first corridor into a dynamic electronic fabric. In this setting, it immediately offers a first key to understanding, helping visitors keep hold of the guiding thread throughout their visit.

The Multivision is positioned so as to be visible from the ticket office and the bookshop, so that it can be enjoyed even while queuing, during the wait, or while making a purchase.

Thanks to the fundraising effort carried out by the Blu Oberon team, who conceived and produced the video installation, the Museo Diocesano was able to count on HP’s technical sponsorship.
