Museum of Water, Ballao (Cagliari)
A large meta-visual scale model of the landscape and four fountains of light to tell the story of the most precious resource we have.
Meta-visual scale model of the landscapeThe story told on the digital-physical panoramic model unfolds across two distinct themes, culture and nature, which visitors can activate using a touch-screen console. The interplay between the surface of the model and a large backdrop screen invites visitors to discover, through an emotional and multisensory approach, the distinctive features of the Ballao municipal area from both a natural and a historical-cultural perspective, with particular reference to its inseparable bond with the waters of the Flumendosa.
Fountains of lightFour vertical waterfalls reveal the first-person accounts of a number of Ballao residents, describing the community’s relationship with the element most precious to life.
